Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Quick learner with new software and accounting programs Works effectively in a team environment with diverse personalities Detail-oriented with general accounting and payroll experience Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel) Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees using a third-party vendor Onboard new hires and maintain accurate employee records Analyze and resolve any payroll discrepancies Manage payroll data and provide information to managers and employees Review time entries, work schedules, and calculate wages correctly Code payroll data for proper processing Identify and resolve any payroll discrepancies before finalizing Enter finalized payroll data into the accounting system Process certified payroll and prevailing wage reports as needed Complete required forms and report training fund contributions for specific projects Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures Stay updated on tax and deduction laws related to payroll processing Track changes in employee pay, benefits, and deductions Ensure accurate and timely payroll accounting and reporting Manage and assist employees with company-sponsored medical insurance programs Prepare monthly worker compensation reports and support yearly audits Familiarity with child support deductions and wage garnishments Maintain HR posters and required workplace postings
